Course Description
Hearing loss from noise exposure is normally a gradual process but it is real, and it is permanent. In this lesson you will learn how noise impacts hearing, what factors determine the extent of hearing loss, and what noise levels require hearing protectors. You will also learn about the types of hearing protectors, how they are selected for a job, and their advantages and disadvantages for controlling noise exposure. You will also learn the correct use, care, and maintenance practices for hearing protectors, and how a Hearing Conservation Program is designed to safeguard your hearing.
